KAPOLEI, Hawaii (AP) — Mark Wiebe had six birdies over a seven-hole stretch and shot an 8-under 64 on Friday to take a two-shot lead after the first round of the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship.

Mark Calcavecchia and John Cook each had a 66 for a share of second place, while Brian Henninger sits alone in fourth after a 67 in windy conditions at Kapolei Golf Links.

Vijay Singh, a three-time major champion on the PGA Tour and a former world No. 1, is among a group tied for eighth after finishing with a 69 in his first appearance on the Champions Tour.

Defending champion Willie Wood also shot 69 but ended his bogey-free streak in the tournament at 64 holes when he made bogey on No. 13.
