GRAPEVINE, Texas (AP) — NCAA President Mark Emmert says he expects “a lot of change” for the governance structure of Division I sports over the next six to eight months.

Emmert was in Grapevine, Texas, on Monday, speaking at the annual meeting of Division I faculty athletics representatives.

He says the only thing everyone seems to agree upon is that Division I governance doesn’t work. He says the NCAA board heads into October and January meetings expecting to look at a “whole different governance model for Division I.”
