Prep highlights: King’s Way Christian volleyball outlasts Seton Catholic in five

Andrea Demlow had 12 kills, 10 digs and three aces and Tiffany Hanson added 30 assists as King’s Way Christian outlasted Seton Catholic in five sets in a Trico League South Division showdown.

King’s Way won 25-12, 21-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12 to move ahead of Seton in the standings. The Knights are 3-1 in league play, while the Cougars dropped to 2-2.

Ashley Watkins had 16 kills, 14 digs and 22 assists for Seton.

Stars of the day

• Kaitlyn Bigley, La Center girls soccer, scored four goals as La Center beat Stevenson 9-1.

• Eddie Abellar, Union boys golf, shot a 4-under-par 31 at Tri-Mountain as Union beat Skyview.

• Rylee Seekins, Hockinson girls soccer, scored three goals as Hockinson beat Evergreen 9-1.

• Ryan Sturdivan, Woodland boys golf, shot a 1-under-par 34 at Oakridge Golf Course to lead Woodland over Montesano.

• Kelsey Brown, Skyview volleyball, had six kills, eight digs and 11 assists in the Storm’s win over Prairie.

• Lauren Harris, Camas volleyball, had 13 kills and 12 digs in Camas’ 3-0 win over Columbia River.

• Brooke Van Sickle, Battle Ground volleyball, had 31 kills, 13 digs and 18 assists as Battle Ground outlasted Ridgefield in five sets.

• Taylor Kernion, Skyview girls soccer, recorded assists on all three Storm goals in a 3-0 victory over Prairie.
