EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants have signed for Jets fullback John Conner.

The Giants announced the move Wednesday, three days after fullback Henry Hynoski fractured his shoulder in a 38-0 loss to Carolina. Hynoski was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

Conner previously played for the Jets and the Cincinnati Bengals. He has played in 37 regular-season games with 10 starts and in two postseason games. His career totals include 21 rushing attempts for 88 yards and two touchdowns and four receptions for 18 yards.

The University of Kentucky product entered the NFL as a fifth-round draft choice (139th overall pick) in 2010. Conner played in every game for the Jets in his first two seasons, starting eight in 2011.

The Giants (0-3) will meet Kansas City (3-0) on Sunday.
