FVTV, the county’s public access channel, will hold a telethon from 5-10 p.m. Thursday.

Formally known as Fort Vancouver Community Television, FVTV airs on Channel 11 on Comcast.

The event will include on-air programming, featuring local talent, as well as a chance to visit the studio at 4704 N.E. Minnehaha St., Suite C-309.

In addition to raising money, the nonprofit organization hopes to increase public awareness.

The broadcast service offers people a chance to put a wide range of programming on the air.

FVTV also offers classes in camera, audio and editing, as well as equipment rentals.

Information is at www.fvtv11.org or 360-693-7544.
