The 12th annual Share-a-Bowl fundraising dinner will feature gourmet soups created by local chefs and unique artisan soup bowls that go home with diners.

It’s all to benefit Share Vancouver, a local agency that fights homelessness and feeds the hungry. The event is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Clark County Events Center, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield.

The evening’s program also will include presentation of the 2012 Emily Marshall Volunteer of the Year award. This year’s nominees are Austin Chang, Riley Aten, Robert Harland and Simple Faith Cavalry Church.

Tickets are $40 for adults, $15 for children 5-12, free for children younger than five; a table of 8 can be reserved for $320. Visit sharevancouver.org or call 360-952-8223.

Attendees will also receive one door prize ticket per food donation they bring in.
