LOS ANGELES (AP) — UCLA guard Kari Korver will miss the upcoming basketball season with a right knee injury.

The school said Thursday that Korver had an MRI a day earlier that confirmed a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a tear in her lateral meniscus.

Korver averaged 4.7 points and 1.5 rebounds as a freshman last season. She led the Bruins in 3-point field goals made with 38 and attempted with 110. Her 34 percent shooting from long range ranked second on the team, and she led them in free throw shooting at 92 percent.

In high school, Korver missed her entire senior year with a left knee injury.

Her cousin, Kyle Korver, plays for the Atlanta Hawks.
