Pumpkin Patch and Harvest Festival will open Bi-Zi Farms’ annual corn maze and pumpkin patch for the season. The farm will be filled with seasonal produce, bale pyramid and hay maze, calf-roping station, pedal-tractor driving, wagon rides and one pumpkin included with admission. The seven-acre corn maze will also remain open late for adventurers who want to tackle the labyrinth in the dark.

The 10th annual Harvest Fun Day celebrates the history of agricultural heritage in Clark County, hosted by the Clark County Historical Museum. Families can make scarecrows, paint pumpkins, dye fibers and harvest vegetables for the local food bank. There will also be live music, draft horse demonstrations, a pie-eating contest at 11:30 a.m. and a corn-shucking contest at 1:30 p.m. for three different age groups.

The seventh annual Doggie Dive event lets dogs of all sizes dive in at the Lakeshore Athletic Club, with separate pools for little and big dogs. The event benefits the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. Dogs must be nonaggressive and willing swimmers.

Crush and stomp

Crush Festival at Heisen House Vineyards will be demonstrating the winemaking process and celebrating the start of the 2013 vintage. Visitors can enjoy live music, arts and crafts, activities for children, wine and fresh wine grapes to taste. Grape crushing will begin at 2 p.m.

Rusty Grape hosts its seventh annual Stompfest, where teams of two can sign up to crush as much grape juice as possible with their toes, with prizes awarded for each round. Registration is required for teams, with rounds taking place at 1, 3, 5 and 6 p.m. The event will raise money for the North Clark County Community Food Bank. There will also be live music from Jeff Hill and John Baker.

Love and mistaken identities

The Magenta Theater Company takes on Oscar Wilde’s satire “The Importance of Being Earnest.” The difficulties of finding love during the Victorian era in London’s high society become even more complicated by aliases. Jack Worthing lives a double life as “Ernest” to escape his country obligations as a guardian of heiress Cecily Cardew. But as Ernest, he hopes to marry Algernon’s cousin, Gwendolen Fairfax, while Algernon has set sights on Cecily, introducing himself as Jack’s city cousin “Ernest.”

‘Meatballs’ have new life

The once-tranquil island of Swallow Falls has been transformed by the food disaster, made uninhabitable by leftovers. Well-meaning inventor Flint Lockwood (voiced by Bill Hader) and meteorologist Sam Sparks (Anna Faris) with the rest of the rescue crew return to the island to find it teeming with evolved “Foodimals” and the food machine not quiet as disabled as they thought. “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2” is rated PG.
