ATLANTA (AP) — Tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Danny Amendola are inactive for the New England Patriots against the Atlanta Falcons.

Two Falcons starters — cornerback Asante Samuel and running back Steven Jackson — were unable to play.

Both teams got some good news when Patriots right tackle Sebastian Vollmer and Atlanta left tackle Sam Baker were in the starting lineups after missing some practice time this week.

Samuel, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, missed his second game this year. Robert McClain started in Samuel’s spot at left cornerback.

Gronkowski, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, and Amendola did not travel with the team to Atlanta.

Patriots reserve running back Leon Washington missed his third straight game.
