A new life jacket loaner stand is now open at the Marine Park boat launch, Southeast Marine Park Way and Columbia Way. The stand will be open intermittently on weekends through June and then Wednesday through Sunday throughout the summer.
Boaters can borrow life jackets free of charge to help keep passengers safe on the water. The stand will be stocked with life jackets ranging from infant to adult sizes.
The stand was made available through a grant Sea Tow Foundation awarded to Safe Kids Clark County, an organization dedicated to preventing injuries in children. Another stand is located at Klineline Pond, a popular swimming hole in Salmon Creek Regional Park.
