TACOMA — Firefighters say two men were injured in a meth lab explosion early Monday in Tacoma.

The men were cooking meth inside a trailer behind a home when it exploded about 2 a.m. in a blast that one neighborhood said sounded like a sonic boom.

One man was taken to a hospital with serious burns.

KING reports police are looking for a second man who ran from the explosion, badly burned.

Nearby residents were advised to keep their windows closed while a hazmat team assessed the danger from chemicals.
