LONGVIEW — A fire Sunday night burned a paper machine at the KapStone mill in Longview.

Longview Police and Fire reports no employees were injured and they helped firefighters access equipment and open hatches on the roof to let smoke and steam escape.

The fire was confined to the paper machine and drenched by the sprinkler system.

KapStone produces container board at the mill and also operates a box plant in Longview.
