Flags outside of the Washington state Capitol will be lowered in memory of the victims of the Oso mudslide.

Gov. Jay Inslee and other state officials will gather on the steps of the Legislative Building at noon Tuesday before lowering the flags. Inslee ordered that flags at all state facilities be lowered to half-staff from noon Tuesday until the end of the day on Tuesday, April 22.

So far, 36 victims of the March 22 slide have been recovered and identified; seven people remain on a missing list.

President Barack Obama plans to survey damage from the mudslide April 22, and will meet with victims, first responders and recovery workers.
