The Clark County Skills Center invites the community to tour the facility from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 16. The campus address is 12200 N.E. 28th St.

Kari Duffy, director, and Mark Osborne, assistant director, will lead the tour, including two under-construction buildings that will house the new aviation and Homeland Security programs, slated to begin in September.

Throughout the Skills Center visitors will watch student demonstrations, explore state-of-the-art equipment and sample a gourmet lunch prepared by students in the Skills Center Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts program. The lunch is $5.

To register for the tour, contact Jan Strickland at 360-604-1050, ext. 2151, or janice.strickland@evergreenps.org.

The Skills Center is owned and operated by 10 Clark County school districts. It offers 16 programs to Clark County high school and college students ages 16-21. Learn more at www.ccskillscenter.com.
