La Center police said Atsuhiko Hirata was found.

Police are asking the public to help them find a 78-year-old Japanese-American man who went missing from a La Center senior care facility.

Atsuhiko Hirata, who has Parkinson’s disease, walked away from the facility yesterday and hasn’t been seen since, according to La Center police.

He may have used public transportation to leave La Center and might be carrying a suitcase, police said.

Hirata is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build, and walks with a cane. He is bald but may be wearing a toupee. He was last seen wearing a white vest and gray slacks.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
