A Vancouver woman sustained unspecified injuries early today after she was ejected from her motorcycle, according to a Washington State Patrol accident memo.

Kelsey S. Joe, 21, was northbound on Interstate 5 “at a high rate of speed,” at approximately 12:45 a.m. when she exited at 99th Street in an attempt to elude a state trooper. When Joe tried to get back on the interstate, her motorcycle struck a curb on the on-ramp, according to the memo.

Joe was wearing a helmet.

She was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, but was not listed in the hospital’s public directory as of this afternoon.

Charges include driving under the influence, attempting to elude and reckless driving.
