KENNEWICK — Buses with about 500 foreign workers were expected to arrive Wednesday in the Yakima and Tri-Cities areas to help harvest a record apple crop in Washington.

The Washington Farm Labor Association says they’ll likely be in the orchards by Friday.

Visas through the federal H-2A guest worker program had been delayed by State Department computer problems.
