A 38-year-old man slashed three people with a folding knife at Grand Central Terminal in New York City Saturday morning, leaving one victim in critical condition, police said.

According to police, Ivan DeLeon drew a 4-inch blade after bumping into someone while exiting a train about 11:15 a.m.

An argument erupted and DeLeon stabbed a 29-year-old man in the arm, a 27-year-old man in the stomach and a 25-year-old man in the chest, authorities told the Los Angeles Times.

The three wounded men were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where the 25-year-old remained in critical condition. DeLeon, who authorities said was intoxicated, was also taken to the hospital and in police custody.

The wounded men knew each other, according to a police spokesman, but did not appear to know DeLeon.

DeLeon has been charged with felony assault and weapons offenses.
