Letter: Do what you can, step by step

The Columbian

Sadly, our politicians in Washington, D.C., and China and India, etc., could care less about saving the planet since they are beholden to corporate greed and the military-industrial-agricultural-petroleum-pharmaceutical-insurance lobbyists.

Regular citizens around the world would be better served, rather than wasting our time pleading and begging our governments to implement changes to mitigate the future impending and unstoppable climate crises that will impact most of the population of the planet, by taking individual steps to do what each of us can based on the facts and science we do know.

I bought an electric motorcycle. I will be growing my own food soon. I try to buy locally. I recycle, reuse, and try to live sustainably as much as I can. It’s like the Middle East … the problem was created by, perpetuated by, and will never be solved by, politicians.
