Vancouver — The monthly S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for June recorded what it called a “sustained slowdown in price increase” that showed up in its 20-city composite, which includes the Portland-Vancouver metro area, and in other home price indexes.

The Portland-Vancouver area recorded a 1.1 percent price increase in the May to June period, matching the previous monthly increase. Over a 12-month period, local prices for the Portland-Vancouver region have increased by 9.2 percent.

Those numbers compare to a 1 percent monthly increase for the 20-city index, down from 1.2 percent in the previous one-month period. The one-year increase for the 20 city index was 8.1 percent.
