SEATTLE — Seattle police on have arrested a man suspected of stealing an SUV with a 10-month-old child inside.

KING-TV reports the vehicle was stolen from outside a convenience store. It was found nearby after a woman noticed the baby inside a vehicle that was left running with a door open.

Carlisia Minnis said the car had been left in neutral and when it started to roll she jumped in to stop it. She said she had no idea the SUV had been stolen and she was doing what she could to make sure the baby was OK.

Police quickly arrived and the baby was reunited with her parents.

Seattle police say it’s an important lesson for parents never to leave their children in a car.
