BELLEVUE — Police say a 77-year-old woman who was struck and fatally injured while crossing Bellevue street Monday morning was wearing dark clothing in the pre-dawn darkness.

An 18-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators who said he did not appear to be impaired.

KOMO reports the woman may have been struck by a second vehicle, a white pickup truck that left the scene at 150th Avenue near Southeast 38th Street.

Officer Seth Tyler says the woman’s dark clothing may have contributed to the accident about 6 a.m. when it was still dark.
