Boys basketball: La Center 73, Castle Rock 56

After a six-point second quarter, La Center came out of halftime with a 30-point third quarter to win the Trico League opener going away.

“We challenged them a bit from both ends of the floor,” La Center coach Jon Schroeder said. “They answered the call.”

Will Rice led the Wildcats in scoring with 27 points, and Sawyer Bierscheid had 15.
