Girls basketball: La Center 69, Castle Rock 19

Four Wildcats scored in double figures as they opened Trico League play with a runaway win at Castle Rock.

Katie Whitten led the way with 13 points, 10 steals and six assists.

Molly Edwards had 11 points and three steals for La Center (2-1). Shelby Vermuelen had 10 points, three steals and a blocked shot, and Rachel Moudy scored 10 points.
