Bagley Downs — The affordable senior citizen apartment complex planned for 3112 N.E. 62nd Ave. just won a $2 million boost from the state of Washington. The State Housing Trust Fund last week awarded $28.98 million in loans and grants to 15 affordable housing projects in nine counties; one of them is 62nd Avenue Senior Housing, a 49-unit project that’s being developed by REACH of Portland and its Vancouver subsidiary, Affordable Community Environments. The rules for State Housing Trust Fund awards state that the projects are for people who have incomes no higher than 80 percent of the area median and must stay that way for 40 years.
