Boys basketball: La Center 80, Washougal 57

Will Rice and Wyatt Aguirre combined to score 52 points in a 23-point win at Washougal.

Aguirre made four of La Center’s nine 3-pointers. Rice ended up with 28 points, connecting on three 3-pointers.

Jake Wise had 10 rebounds for La Center.

Brody Seter added 15 points for the Wildcats.

The short-handed Panthers were led by Noah Prangley’s 11 points.

La Center used a 25-point second quarter to take an 11-point halftime lead.

The two teams combined to shoot 66 free throws.
