Camas woman serves with the Association of Fundraising Professionals

Carol Van Natta directs PeaceHealth Medical Foundation

A local resident has been elected to a volunteer leadership position with the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Carol Van Natta, of Camas, serves on the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy board of directors.

She is the executive director and chief development officer of the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Foundation. Van Natta is a past president of the local AFP chapter.

AFP represents 30,000 members in more than 200 chapters around the world, working to advance philanthropy through education, training, mentoring, research, credentialing and advocacy.

James Phelps, of Vancouver, has been re-elected to the international AFP board of directors. He is the principal of JKP Fundraising, LLC. Phelps is a past president of the local AFP chapter.

Kathy Hostetler, of Portland, was selected as a chapter services international committee member. She is director of major gifts for the Providence Medical Foundation, Oregon region.

Hostetler is also a past president of the local AFP chapter.

The association fosters the development and growth of fundraising professionals. The Oregon and southwest Washington chapter provides resources, education and networking opportunities.
