Boys basketball: La Center 67, White Salmon 56

Wyatt Aguirre and Chase Davison scored 21 points apiece to lead the Wildcats to the win at White Salmon.

Aguirre scored 13 points in the first quarter and Davison tallied 11 in the second quarter. Still, the Wildcats lead was only six points at the break.

Eleven 3-pointers helped La Center (14-5, 12-5) separate itself from White Salmon (4-15, 4-13).

Ryan Lockman led the Bruins with 14 points and Clayton Gross scored 13.

La Center coach Jon Schroeder said the game was a good test for his squad.

“We had to work for this one,” he said. “Their kids played very well.”
