Remember back when the Democrats tried to sell us the snake oil of Obamacare where we needed to pass the bill before reading what was in the bill?
I vividly remember a smiling Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., standing behind Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., telling us what a wonderful piece of legislation it was and that it would cost “only” $848 billion over a decade. Well, now we have the Congressional Budget Office telling us that it will cost us a cool $2 trillion. That adds up to about $80,000 per newly insured person. If that is over a decade, that would mean $8,000 per person, which is way more than I paid for my old health care.
I guess this new revelation is in line with the “kept” promises that we could keep our doctor and we would save $2,500 a year.
The CBO also stated that nearly 2.5 million workers could opt out of full-time jobs over the next 10 years — allowing employers to wipe out 2.3 million full-time jobs.
