Letter: Students get tripped up by rules

Published: February 8, 2014, 4:00pm

Not being an expert on graffiti, the mural painted on the dugout at Fort Vancouver High School looks OK to me. I think of graffiti as that crude lettering painted on railroad underpasses or rail cars and other public places without permission. The mural by the student artists compares favorably to some of the paid advertising on the C-Tran buses.

Both school softball coach Crystal Wallace and the students will learn a valuable lesson of dealing with an apparently closed-minded bureaucracy. After all, learning about rules, fair or otherwise, can be a plus for everyday living.
