Girls basketball: Washougal 56, R.A. Long 44

The Panthers punched their ticket to the 2A district tournament with a road win over R.A. Long.

Haley Briggs scored 14 points, Megan Sharp added 13 points and RaeAnn Allen had eight points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

The Panthers (11-7, 4-4) earned the GSHL’s No. 3 seed and will travel to River Ridge for a first-round game Friday.
