Letter: Farm Bill cuts cultivate many losses

The Columbian
Published: February 13, 2014, 4:00pm

In Congress’ continued contempt of the unemployed and the working poor, the congressional millionaires passed a Farm Bill that gives lots of goodies to mega-agriculture conglomerates but cuts food stamps by $8 billion. They also have denied the unemployed extended benefits, so by March 2, six million people will not have unemployment benefits.

Oh, the life of the congressional millionaires. At least they took care of the lobbyists in the Farm Bill. Almost one trillion dollars in spending goodies over five to 10 years. Need I say continued corruption?
