Vancouver man dies in Polk County

A 30-year-old Vancouver man died Monday after a medical emergency on Highway 18 in Polk County, according to a news release from Oregon State Police.

Andrew Wacker was a passenger in a car driven by a 28-year-old woman. She stopped the car when Wacker began having a seizure. Fire paramedics began CPR before taking Wacker to Willamette Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Oregon State Police’s investigation into the cause of death is continuing.
