A man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 5 near Northeast 179th Street early Wednesday morning.

Christopher W. Adams, 25, of Dallas, Ore., was driving a 2001 Audi north on the highway at about 2:20 a.m., when Washington State Patrol troopers say he was going too fast and lost control. The vehicle went into the median and struck a cable barrier before stopping in a dirt embankment, according to the State Patrol.

Adams was taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, where he was treated and released. He was cited for speeding.
