PORTLAND — The Portland City Council approved a deal Wednesday that would provide $846,000 to find a permanent home for the Right 2 Dream Too homeless camp.

The deal has been in discussion since October when plans to move the 2-year-old camp from the China Town gate to the upscale Pearl District ran into opposition from residents and developers.

The Oregonian reports the city is working with a broker to identify possible locations for the homeless camp.
