The Trey Foote Foundation is hosting a dinner and auction to “Stomp Cancer.”

The Stomp Cancer event is from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the Artillery Barracks at Fort Vancouver Reserve, 600 Hatheway Road.

All proceeds from the event will be used to help fund the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cancer Biology Program. Dr. Charles Keller from the Doernbecher program will be the featured speaker.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at www.treyfoote.com/events.

Trey Foote of Vancouver died Oct. 19, 2006 after his bout with bone cancer. The Foote family formed the foundation with money they had set aside for his college education and have since raised thousands of dollars for various charitable organizations and scholarships.
