PORTLAND — Firefighters knocked down two fires overnight at vacant buildings in northeast Portland.
One fire at 3:45 a.m. Monday burned a vacant house next door to an apartment building that burned last August in a five-alarm arson that has not been solved.
KATU reports the second Monday morning fire broke out a short time later at an abandoned building about four blocks away. Firefighters extinguished a fire in a doorway.
Investigators have not said whether the fires are related. No injuries reported.
