Letter: Repeal all limits on marriage

The Columbian
Published: February 25, 2014, 4:00pm

With Washington state legalizing gay marriages and now Oregon’s attorney general saying she will not defend her state’s ban on gay marriage, it is time for the next step. More than 48 countries in the world recognize polygamy as legal, many more countries than those that recognize gay marriage. Now that people do not want to limit marriage to one man and one woman, it would be prejudicial to limit marriage to just two people. People who supported gay marriage would be polyphobic and forcing their own values on others if they did not support legalization of polygamy.
