Las Vegas Sands, the world’s largest casino company, said customer data at its Pennsylvania property was stolen in a cyber-attack on its computer systems this month.
The information included Social Security and drivers license numbers, said a person with knowledge of the situation who asked not to be named because they aren’t authorized to speak publicly.
“We have now determined that some legally protected guest data at Sands Bethlehem has been compromised,” the Las Vegas- based company said today.
As of today, the number of customers affected is less than 1 percent of total visitors to the casino since it opened, the company said in a statement. A mailing database was also stolen, the company said.
Sands is providing credit-card monitoring and identity theft protection, and notifying customers about the coverage, it said.
