Anthony to play for Knicks after missing 3 games

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is playing against the San Antonio Spurs after missing the past three games with a sprained left ankle.

Anthony is expected to come off the bench Thursday night as New York attempts to end a three-game losing streak.

Anthony is third in the league scoring, averaging 26.3 points while also grabbing 8.8 rebounds per game.

The Knicks have battled injuries this season to key players like Anthony, Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler while averaging just 94.7 points per game while allowing 99.2.
