RENO, Nev. (AP) — Deonte Burton drove the lane and made the go-ahead runner for Nevada with 32 seconds remaining in a 61-58 victory over Wyoming on Saturday.

Burton’s runner gave Nevada a 59-58 lead, and AJ West forced Larry Nance Jr. to miss a difficult fade-away jumper on the other end with 4 seconds left.

Michael Perez grabbed the miss for Nevada (7-8, 2-0 Mountain West) and Wyoming fouled him with 2 seconds left. Perez made both free throws and Derek Cooke Jr. missed a last-second heave that would have tied the game.

Burton scored 16, West had 12 points and 12 rebounds and Cole Huff added 15, including two big 3-pointers down the stretch that kept the Wolf Pack in the game.

Josh Adams led the Cowboys (9-5, 0-1) with 15 points, and Riley Grabau and Nance added 14 points each. Adams put Wyoming up 58-56 on a layup with 1:32 remaining.
