Icy conditions Friday morning were blamed for a two-car crash north of the Sleep Country Amphitheater near Ridgefield.

John V. Schulling, 59, of Battle Ground was driving a 2003 Mazda east on Northeast 179th Street near Northeast 15th Avenue about 8:45 a.m. when the vehicle slid on an icy patch into the path of a westbound Ford F-150, according to Clark County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Fred Neiman.

Schulling and the driver of the pickup, Susan M. May, 37, of Battle Ground both were injured, but Neiman described their injuries as not serious.

Schulling was taken by ambulance to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center while May was taken to the hospital by private vehicle and later discharged. Schulling was listed in satisfactory condition Friday night.

No citations were issued.
