Charleston Southern routs Columbia Int. 105-45

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Will Saunders made six 3-pointers en route to 23 points as Charleston Southern eased past Columbia International 105-45 on Monday.

Saunders only missed three of his 11 shots for Charleston Southern (6-7). Bakari Copeland added 17 for the Buccaneers and Paul Gombwer added 11 and 12 rebounds. Charleston Southern held a 55-31 advantage on the glass.

Columbia International, a member of the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Division II, had not played since Dec. 7 and is now 0-2 on the season.

Chase Bell led Columbia International with 15 points and Zach Durkee was held to 12 on 4-of-15 shooting. The Rams shot just 25.9 percent, including 5 of 22 from 3-point range and 12 of 23 from the free throw line.

The Buccaneers led by as many as 62 points and held the Rams to just 17 points in the first half.
