JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Julysses Nobles scored 20 points — including a 3-pointer at the final buzzer — to lift Jackson State over Alabama State 70-68 Monday night.

The lead changed four times in the last 1:11.

Jackson State (5-9, 1-1 Southwestern Athletic) was up by seven with 1:32 on the clock. But Alabama State got back-to-back 3s from DeMarcus Robinson and Bobby Brown to draw within one with 1:11 left. Jamal Waters hit a pair of free throws to give ASU a 1-point lead with 33 seconds remaining, but Brandon West’s layup with 16 seconds left put JSU back up one.

Waters’ jump shot with just 3 seconds left seemed to put Alabama State (7-6, 1-1) in a good position to win — until Nobles’ heroics.

Derell Taylor had 11 points for Jackson State while West added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Robinson finished with 27 points and Brandon Graham added 11.
