Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers suspended 3 games

NEW YORK (AP) — Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers was suspended for three games without pay by the NHL on Monday for an illegal check to New Jersey Devils forward Dainius Zubrus’ head.

Myers was assessed a minor penalty for the hit Saturday night in the Sabres’ 2-1 home victory.

The suspension will cost Myers $84,615.
