Boston University takes care of Navy 55-32

BOSTON (AP) — Maurice Watson Jr. scored 11 points, had six assists and six rebounds to lead Boston University past Navy 55-32 on Tuesday.

Watson entered the game tied for third nationally with 103 assists for BU (10-6, 3-0 Patriot). Cedric Hankerson had 11 off the bench and Nathan Dieudonne added 10 for the Terriers. Watson was 4 of 11 from the field and BU shot just 38.5 percent.

BU held a 25-13 advantage at halftime and went on an 8-0 run to start the second half to take a 20-point lead. Navy only scored six points through the first 10 minutes of the second half and trailed 37-19 after Malik Thomas’ basket with 9:55 remaining.

Navy (6-8, 1-2) is 5-0 at home this season but fell to 1-8 on the road. The Midshipmen made just 20.8 percent of its shots, including 4 of 27 from the 3-point line. They host Army Saturday.
