Portland — The Junior Joy Team and the Hough Elementary School Leadership Team crafted about 300 U.S. flags from Popsicle sticks and note cards to give thanks to the members of the 142nd Fighter Wing unit of the Oregon Air National Guard. They brought the flags on Saturday to the unit’s Portland base along with “Happy Packets,” stuffed with chocolate, candy and thank-you notes.
