Battle Ground — The Battle Ground Education Foundation gave scholarship money to four schools for excelling in their mission to educate children. Battle Ground Public Schools that were each given a $300 scholarship in December include Prairie High School, CAM Academy, Summit View High School and River HomeLink. The principal of each school was asked to highlight a “great practice” from their campus. Those include:

• Prairie High: One-on-one student support from library staff.

• CAM Academy: Building student vocabulary skills with Wordly Wise workbooks.

• Summit View: Strengthening student success with a new Leadership and Peer Mentoring class.

• River HomeLink: Highlighting certain qualities, such as generosity, to focus on the importance of character development.
