MILWAUKIE, Ore. (AP) — Police say a bicyclist who was struck by a car Thursday night in Milwaukie was crossing a street against a traffic light.

The man who was not wearing a helmet was thrown into the windshield and over the top of the car.

Police say he was taken to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland in critical condition.

The driver who had a green light remained at the scene and told police he did not see the bicyclist.
