Nautilus Inc. said this week it has introduced the Bowflex Max Trainer, a home-fitness machine that combines the attributes of an elliptical and a stair-stepper. “Our research shows that lack of time is one of the top reasons people put off exercising,” Bruce Cazenave, CEO of Nautilus, said in a news release. “There was a need to develop a disruptive home fitness machine that could deliver a more efficient cardio experience in less time.”

The Vancouver-based manufacturer of fitness equipment said the device, now available for purchase online starting at $999, also provides users the ability to track their workouts with the free Bowflex Max Trainer app.
